If Riize is 5th gen, does that mean aespa is sm's only 4th gen group? Back in the day they used to debut a new group every year or two. Interesting that they've slowed down the pace so much. On the other hand, I guess they kept adding people to nct for years.

K-pop groups landing endorsements quickly after their debut is nothing new but what has changed in recent years is that rather than big to medium sized Korean brands its international luxury brands like Louie Vuitton that are fighting to have the new groups become not just Korean but GLOBAL brand ambassadors.

Part of the strategy I feel is sign the group now when they are still considered rookies than later when they are extremely popular and expensive to sign for the same deal.
