SHINee keeps busy and stays connected, offering fans a weekend full of updates

AKP STAFF

The group SHINee has been actively communicating and working hard, filling their fans' weekend with delightful updates.

In June, Onew had stopped activities due to health problems. SM Entertainment had announced, "Due to ongoing health issues, he received a medical opinion that rest and treatment are necessary."

Onew reassured fans that his decision was for SHINee's activities. However, his significantly slimmer appearance in some entertainment shows compared to before raised concerns. Although no specific mention was made about his weight loss, it hinted at the extent of his difficulties.

After about six months, Onew appeared on his personal channel, saying, "I received so many birthday wishes. I sincerely thank you. I'm really happy. Thank you, everyone, for your blessings."

The excitement from Onew's update continued throughout the weekend, fueled by Taemin's solo concert. His first offline performance in nearly four years and nine months garnered global attention with its live broadcast.

Last weekend, Taemin's solo concert 'METAMORPH' held over two sessions, aptly titled for 'transformation' and 'metamorphosis', showcased his musical versatility and diverse performances. The opening performance, using the first-ever upper structure with top and bottom rotations, was a particular highlight, earning praise as 'legendary.'

From his solo debut song 'Danger' to the recently released 'Guilty', including hits like 'MOVE' and 'WANT', Taemin's concert was a parade of hit stages, showcasing his growth. His performances consistently displayed Taemin's unique style and deep artistry.

Particularly on the second day, SHINee's Key and Minho attended the concert to support Taemin. They joined the fans in the audience, waving light sticks and boosting morale. At the end of the concert, Taemin expressed his gratitude to Key and Minho, showing their strong teamwork.

While Onew couldn't attend, the unity among SHINee fans, reignited since Onew's birthday, seemed to carry through to this event.

Today (18th) marks the 6th anniversary of Jonghyun's passing. Jonghyun, who sadly left the world on December 18, 2017, still shines brightly in our hearts. The longing for the five-member SHINee only grows stronger.

Meanwhile, SHINee is set to perform at the '2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon' on the 25th of this month, continuing their busy schedule through to the end of their 15th debut anniversary, raising expectations for their upcoming activities.
