Historical action film 'Battleship Island' has finally premiered, raking in a massive audience and snagging first place in the box office! Not only that, the film has set a new record in Korean film production history!
The film earned a whopping 970,000 viewers on opening day, and this is the first time a film has gathered close to 1,000,000 viewers on premiere night within Korea. 'Battleship Island' is a retelling of the slaves within the historical labor camps at Hashima Island in Japan. Additionally, the film earned a lot of spotlight for it's star studded cast including Song Joong Ki, So Ji Sub and Lee Jung Hyun.
