Titled "Give You A Hug", the song is Hyuk's first ever self-composed, self-written track, and a song that he's wanted to create for a long time. After participating in the lyrics for VIXX's "Milky Way" last year, Hyuk finally decided to put his creativity to action, working on "Give You A Hug" for almost 2 months!
In an interview with Naver's Starcast, Hyuk opened up in detail about the song. Below are some of the interview questions and answers:

Please introduce "Give You A Hug".
"The message of "Give You A Hug" is that of someone who used to find it strange and uncomfortable to be approached and loved, but from here on, decides, 'I will approach the other person first, and embrace everything that is the other person'."
What part does a listener need to focus on when listening to this song?
"To better give listeners the warm feeling of someone alone being given a hug, I arranged it so that there's a solo piano part in the interlude, followed by the uplifting of the mood with the guitar and the piano merging together. I would like it if listeners paid attention not just to the song, but also these sessions in the middle of the song."
Why did you choose to release this song for free?
"As I mentioned, the song is lacking in many ways, but I also chose [to release it for free] because it is my first self-composed song, so I have the desire for a lot of fans to give it a listen. It's also like a pledge to myself to work even harder from here on."
