Back in May of 2015, Starship Entertainment acquired King Kong Entertainment, however, King Kong Entertainment continued to operate independently. Now starting on January 2, the two labels are officially a company of one with the same main operator.  

The two labels agreed to go by the one name of Starship Entertainment, and the actor management will be carried out under the name of King Kong by Starship. CEO Kim Si Dae of Starship Entertainment and CEO Lee Jin Sung of King Kong Entertainment will together be the heads of the new agency.

Some of the actors currently promoting under King Kong Entertainment include Kim Bum, Kim Ji Won, Lee Dong Wook, Lee Kwang Soo, and more while K.Will, SISTAR, Boyfriend, MONSTA X, Cosmic Girls, and more are under Starship Ent.
