The song is actually a collaboration he did with a popular, currently serializing webtoon called 'Lookism' by author Park Tae Joon, and was used as the BGM for a story arc in the webtoon dealing with the entertainment industry.
Dongwoo took to his Instagram to celebrate the release of his song, writing, "The song that I've been working on since the beginning of the year has finally been released ~.~! To two great hyungs. I'd like to express my thanks first to Jerry.L hyung, who helped me write and compose this song, and Tae Joon hyung for allowing this collaboration to happen! I'd also like to thank the Woollim family, who spent several sleepless nights with me, and Lee Joong Yup CEO, who solved the biggest problem as if hitting a homerun! INFINITE, Jerry.L hyung, 'Lookism', Inspirit, Fighting!! I believe that the love and affection embedded in this song will reach my father. 'Embedded in Mind'."
Upon the release of the song, the webtoon author also posted some words about the collaboration, mentioning the significance of the song not only to the webtoon, but to Dongwoo and his late father, saying, "In truth, Dongwoo's song holds a lot of personal meaning. The meaning behind why Dongwoo created this song, and the unfortunate event which took place in the midst of working on this song, makes the song one he can't help but embed in his heart over and over. I am both thankful and pressured by the fact that this song, which will remain an important thing in one man's life for a long time, has been connected to my webtoon. I am truly thankful toward Dongwoo."
