With his new single album, Hanhae took on the challenge of self-composing, self-producing, and self-making all aspects of his two new tracks, "I Used To" and "Fill It Up".
The rapper relayed, "The hardest part about this new comeback was that it was too difficult to appease the label (Brand New Music). I prepared so many songs, but the label turned all of them down. As the creator of those songs, I couldn't help the desire to get my music out so it was frustrating and limiting, not being able to."
On the kind of music he hopes to make, the rapper stated, "I don't believe that my music is simply for my own pleasure or experimentation. I think I try to make music that reaches out to the general public in a sense. But a lot of people react to it with difficulty. That's because I don't have the skills and the experience I want just yet."
Hanhae was revealed to have not only completed every aspect of the music making for 'I Used To', but took direct part in the MV director and staff on its whole production.
Lastly, the rapper had only good things to say about his appearance on last year's 'Show Me The Money 4', saying, "Before, I was afraid to share my music with others, but these days I have a great time meeting up with fellow musicians and having discussions about one another's music. 'Show Me The Money 4' played a huge part in me being the person I am today. After the show, I gained a lot of confidence in myself, and I got better at my music. Thinking back on it again, I'm very thankful for the show."
It's always great to see a musician going through evolution with his music! How do you like Hanhae's new single album 'I Used To'?
