This may cause some debate, especially for all you listeners of Korean hip hop.
On the January 16 airing of 'Sketchbook,' Verbal Jint was one of the guests, and he gave his own personal opinion on which three rappers he considers to be the best in the Korean hip hop scene.
When MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked him to "pick the three rappers he acknowledges," Verbal Jint replied, "It's something that rappers ask a lot to one another."
The rapper then went on to select Tablo as his first choice, justifying, "When you listen to his lyrics, I find myself feeling the pleasure of playing an intellectual game. I marvel [at the lyrics]."
Verbal Jint then mentioned Beenzino, saying, "I liked his stuff even when he wasn't popular like he is now and took an interest in him. He does music like an artform."
And last but definitely not least, Verbal Jint chose himself as one of the three rappers he acknowledges. He joked, "Rather than possessing a charisma, the method and angle I approach writing lyrics is different than the other rappers."
Do you agree with Verbal Jint? Who would be in your top 3?
