Historical MBC drama 'Hwajung' has aired its last episode on September 29! Before that though, the two leads Seo Kang Jun and Lee Yeon Hee gathered for a cute picture together with the former putting his arm around the latter and... making a peace sign with a bloody hand?
He posted this onto Instagram and wrote, "My last cut with my majesty. Thanks to the staff, director, seniors, fellow actors, and lastly the viewers for the last seven months. Bye, Joo Won!"
Then through his agency Fantagio, he relayed a longer farewell message: "Thank you for all that time. I'm so sad at finishing this up that the sadness has covered my eyes and I can't see before me... heuk. It was an honor to be able to act with an amazing director and writer, the staff, and the best seniors the last seven months by meeting the production of 'Hwajung'. It was a valuable time. It feels like I've finished the marathon that was 'Hwajung'.The time and process were not easy, but I think I was able to garner reward and a sense of accomplishment through the challenge. I sincerely thank the viewers who watched over me and supported me to the end even though I was lacking."
Lee Yeon Hee stated through SM Entertainment, "It was an honor to have a role with meaning and to participate in a good production. As it was a 50-episode historical drama that needed a long chemistry, there was some physical difficulty, but it was a time in which I could learn a lot from the seniors who were in it with me. The drama was able to end well thanks to all of the staff members who sweated on set with me. Also, while the production was airing, the viewers sent a lot of support and love, so I'd like to thank them sincerely. I will greet you again in the future through yet another production and a new image."
