Japanese news outlet Nikkan Sports stated on July 30, "EXO will debut on Japanese TV. EXO will meet Japanese viewers in their first Japanese regular broadcast 'EXO Channel'." One news source stated, "A foreign artist having a broadcast (TV program) in their name, who hasn't debuted in Japan with a CD yet, is unprecedented."
It is a unique approach to enter into the Japanese market with a TV program rather than new music or the Japanese version of their hit songs. However, EXO have been known for their creative and groundbreaking promotional strategies, and it's been a wild success each time.
