In a conversation with TV Report, Yang Hyun Suk explained that the issue was not a matter of having ill feelings towards one another, but just a matter of whether they feel the broadcast station can show off their artists' performance stages in the best way.
"It's not that YG artists, including Big Bang, didn't appear due to personal feelings between the agency and the broadcast station. Rather, it was a matter of how well can they showcase our artists' stages," he said.
"Although it's thought that YG and the broadcast station have conflicts, it's not true. We just wanted our stages to be reflected well. If they are able to showcase our music in a good way, then there is no problem with us appearing."
He also explained that YG artists appeared on SBS and Mnet because he believed the stage environment was good. "In the case of 'Inkigayo' and 'M! Countdown', we believed that they were able to put together stages that could let our artists and their songs shine. There is no other reason. If the stage environment and our artists match well, then we hope that we can greet everyone with even more stages in the future."
It's also been mentioned that Big Bang are currently getting ready for the filming of their new music videos for their upcoming two new songs set for release on June 1! So get ready for more good new music, and perhaps, more stage performances from the group in the coming months!
