The Ark's Yuna Kim recently revealed why she left YG Entertainment, how she became a member of The Ark, as well as her thoughts on finally making her debut in an interview with Star News.
Yuna Kim revealed that the reason why she left YG Entertainment was she didn't think that she was skilled enough to compete against the other trainees.
She said, "At the time, I wasn't ready spiritually, nor was I ready to sing or dance. I felt that I had no skill. I just had talent. There were so many skilled kids in YG Entertainment so the competition was high. I realized how lacking I was. I wondered if being a singer was the right path for me, and finally I decided that I should go back to school."

In 2013, Yuna Kim was reported to be leaving YG to pursue her education. However, the young artist revealed during the interview that she wasn't able to throw away her dream of becoming a singer and made her way back to Korea.
Yuna Kim said, "I really was going to study. I didn't think that I would try to become a singer again. I was persuaded by the CEO of the agency that I'm in right now. When we had a meeting in Korea, he asked me to rap and I was so bad at it, but he gave me the courage and said, 'I think you will do well.' And thats how I became a singer. I am very thankful."
Meanwhile, The Ark just recently debuted with "The Light," an easy-flowing and uplifting track dedicated for all the youths who are currently pursuing their dreams.
