According to the reports, producers as well as Yoo Jae Suk suggested different ways that Jang Dong Min could still stay and finish the '6th man' search series. However, it was also revealed that Jang Dong Min was firm in his decision to withdraw.
An acquaintance of Jang Dong Min told the press, "Jang Dong Min was taking it hard emotionally these past few days. Of course, he is apologetic about the comments that he had made, but he was also very worried that it might harm 'Infinity Challenge's reputation. Although he seems strong on the outside, he has a very weak heart. He probably learned a lot through this incident."
Meanwhile, Jang Dong Min was named as one of the most appropriate and most viable candidates for becoming the '6th man' for 'Infinity Challenge' before the comedian's past comments degrading and objectifying women were brought back up, stirring up controversy. Though the comedian expressed his regret and apologized for his comments, netizens and viewers flooded the show's suggestion section, requesting Jang Dong Min get dropped from the show.
