A music insider told Munhwa Ilbo, "Turbo and Duble Sidekick are working on a comeback album, and are exchanging their thoughts... You can say that it's the meetup of the past's legends and today's trends." According to the exclusive, Turbo is considering returning in April, marking their comeback in 14 years since 2001, and also hold an anniversary concert that month.
Member Mikey was also reported to be planning on returning to Korea to work on the album. Turbo's rep stated, "Mikey is thinking about promoting in Korea, and he talked with Kim Jong Kook about future plans."
However, Kim Jong Kook's agency rep told the media, "After calling Kim Jong Kook himself, he said that he only received an offer from Duble Sidekick. According to him, he said he is considering the idea and had not told the agency yet as he was trying to decide whether to do it. However the information was revealed through the media before anything was decided upon. For as of now, Kim Jong Kook is busy preparing for his solo album to be released in the first-half of this year in honor of his 20th anniversary."
He will be releasing a mini-album for the first half and then a new song and studio album in the second!
Otherwise, it seems we will have to wait to see what the Turbo members will decide to go through with it, but at least we know they're keeping their options open!
