MBC stated on the 29th, "Singer Kim Jin Pyo has decided to voluntarily leave 'Dad, Where Are You Going?'."

An MBC rep stated, "Although he worked hard, he felt that he doesn't fit well with the program, revealing his reason for wanting to leave and the staff decided to respect his wishes after much discussion."

Kim Jin Pyo stated through MBC, "I am sorry and regretful that I am unable to stay until the end and I am thankful that I was able to learn a lot from my relationship with my child during the past five trips. More than anything else, I am thankful and sorry to the staff and five fathers who believed in me when I was going through a difficult time."

From the start Kim Jin Pyo's casting had been a controversial one has he was criticized in the past for his remarks that utilized terminology from the extremist online community ilbe in his song as well as on�'Top Gear Korea'. Although he started to win back the public's love with his diligence on 'Dad Where Are You Going', it seemed his daughter had a hard time adjusting and overcoming her shy personality. These factors may have attributed to his decision to ultimately leave the show.

Kim Jin Pyo and Kim Kyu Won will appear on their final broadcast on the 'family special' on April 6.
