Actors Cha Seung Won and Lee Seung Gi have now been confirmed and finalized for new SBS drama 'You're Surrounded' while it appears Go Ara will probably be joining them, as well, but has not been made official as of yet.
Multiple broadcasting reps told Sports Seoul on February 25, "Cha Seung Won, Lee Seung Gi, and Go Ara, all of whom received casting offers for 'You're Surrounded,' have recently decided to take part in filming. The dream casting has come true."
However, production group HB Entertainment told TV Report on the same day, "Cha Seung Won and Lee Seung Gi are confirmed for 'You're Surrounded.' However, Go Ara is still in the final stages of mediation." Regardless, it appears likely she will be in the drama at the moment.
'You're Surrounded' centers on four rookie police officers in their 20s who had no dreams of becoming investigators, but gradually develop into true police officers. Cha Seung Won will play Seo Pan Suk, a strong detective and leader of the team who helps the growth of the rookie officers. This will be his first time in three years acting in a drama since MBC's 'The Greatest Love' in 2011.
Lee Seung Gi plays a very intelligent character named Eun Dae Goo, who has an IQ of 150 as well as a perfect face. Although he is a blunt rookie who curses a lot, his character carries a painful family history. Go Ara, who received a lot of love for 'Reply 1994,' will be playing Uh Soo Sun, a passionate female detective who passed the civil servant exam.
'You're Surrounded' will be written by Lee Jung Sun of 'Ojakgyo Brothers' and produced by Yoon In Sik of 'Giant' and 'Incarnation of Money.' The first episode will air in May!
