On December 11, audio files supposedly of EXO and A Pink chatting while playing on-line game 'League of Legends' were leaked. While SM Entertainment confirmed the voices belonged to EXO members, A Cube Entertainment denied A Pink's involvement.
Later in the day, one female netizen, assumed to be the initial leaker, communicated through a personal blog about the recordings and the process of spreading the information. The female wrote on her blog claiming that she is rookie BJ who used the nickname 'Hi Bboom,' which had been mentioned a couple times by EXO in the audio files.
This person explained, "I observed the EXO members playing online games for a while now. As soon as they started the game, they said, 'Enter Hi Bboom 1212,' and I was able to enter the game room with the password 1212."
The person elaborated, "While observing the members 'League of Legends' activities, I hacked into their chat room. Afterwards, they stopped chatting so I even hacked into their TalkOn (voice chatting program). As the members started 'League of Legends,' they said 'Hi Boom 1212 enter Talk.' I installed two programs, Team Voice and TalkOn, then looked for the game room until I found one called 'Hi Bboom' like they had mentioned on TalkOn. I put in the passcode 1212 and got in. I recorded the conversation with my cell phone and the keyboard typing sound in the audio was me."
The person also said, "Sehun and Baekhyun are my favorite celebrities . . . My fingers trembled and my heart raced [while I recorded]."
The netizen also addressed the parts of the recorded file that were edited, saying, "As you saw in the Kakaotalk content, I cut out all the frivolous parts [in the audio recording]. I also cut out some other parts like when Sehun mentioned their current address. I think I was so riled up in the beginning that I wrote those messages.
After seeing the news articles, I grasped the situation too late. I am writing this on the belief that I should apologize even though it is late. I bow my head in apology. I will see them from now on through better broadcasts. Please give a lot of love to xxx fan club."
