It's already known by now that 2PM accounted for almost half (47.6%) of JYPE's artist revenue in 2012, showing a glaring dependency on one group to keep the agency afloat. To improve their revenue structure, JYPE is currently preparing to unleash 3-4 new groups. In 2012, JYPE's revenue was broken down into 16.06% miscellaneous, 0.58% merchandise (MD), 5.25% album production, 6.51% album sales, 10.03% content, and 61.56% management. For their expected revenue structure for 2014, the agency plans to divide their sales into 15% merchandise (MD), 5% album production, 10% album sales, 10% contents, 35% management, and 25% concerts.
According to the newly revealed chart, JYPE plans to release 2PM and Sunmi's mini-albums, miss A's full-length album, and a single from 'BOYBAND 1' in Q4 of 2013. In Q1 of 2014, JYPE plans to release 15&'s single, 'BOYBAND 2's mini album, and 'GIRLBAND's single. In Q2 of the same year, the agency plans to release 2PM's full-length album, Baek Ah Yeon's single, Sunmi's single, and 'BOYBAND 1's mini-album. In Q3, miss A, 15&, 'BOYBAND 2' and 'GIRLBAND's mini-albums are also set to be released. Q4 of 2014 marks the scheduled date for Bark Ah Yeon's mini-album, Sunmi's full-length album, and 'BOYBAND 1's full-length album.
