On August 29, it was revealed that Super Junior's Kim Heechul (30) will receive an award acknowledging him as an exemplary public service officer while serving at Sungdong.
A rep revealed via a phone interview with media outlet Star News, "Kim Hee Chul is expected to be discharged from the army on August 30 but he will be honored with an award before he is formally discharged."
Kim Hee Chul enlisted back on September 1, 2011, and has since served as a public service officer at Sungdong. In 2006 Kim Hee Chul was involved in a serious accident that required him to undergo a major surgery, which resulted in him becoming a public service officer rather than an active duty soldier.
As previously requested, Kim Hee Chul plans to be quietly discharged from the army without any public ceremony.

Kim Hee Chul who is known to posses a variety of skills in singing, acting, and more has already been receiving numerous love calls from variety shows, dramas, but there is no confirmation of his official return.
His reps previously commented, "After his discharge, Kim Hee Chul is planning to practice as much as he can, and once he is ready he will join the rest of the members for Super Junior's World Tour. But we cannot say for certain when that will be."
