In the barrage of a mixture of various idol groups, there is now a brand-new concept to add to the growing mix.
5urprise�is a 5-member group made up of not 5 singers, but 5 actors. The group is made up of members�Seo Kang Joon, Lee Tae Hwan, Yoo Il, Gong Myung, and Kang Tae Oh. The members are in their early 20s and were chosen through the 'Actor's League' program, which auditions actor-hopefuls.
However, just because they're rookie actors doesn't mean they can't sing! The boys were also trained for 2 years in singing and dancing on top of their acting. Seo Kang Joon is the leader of the group.

Their label Fantagio said, "5urprise is a rookie actor group that's different from the basic idol group. Each of the members went through the highly competitive 'Actor's League' audition, and then training. They are equipped with the basics of being an actor with the looks to match, and they are also solid in their singing and dancing. Unlike the singer idols, they'll be mainly acting, and then branch out into music, CFs, and variety shows."
