After facing a withering firestorm of controversy over a Facebook post that many interpreted as being thoughtless and immature, musical actress Baek Min Jung posted an apology for her actions.
The furor began when she posted a lengthy message to her Facebook wall after a heavily-attended fan-signing event. "Urgh I hate hate fan-signings, the musical is over and I'm so so tired, but I have to smile and ask 'did you like it? what's your name?' Smile smile~ my face is tired! Aigoo so annoying," she had posted.
The post made its rounds on the Internet, gaining attention in the process. After it had been picked up by major media outlets as well as the online community, Baek Min Jung issued an official apology for her behavior.

"I didn't think properly before speaking," she began. "I'd like to apologize to everyone who was disappointed due to my immature expressions."
"I know that your love was necessary for me to be here today," she continued. "Please understand that I do not think lightly of everyone who loves musicals, and this kind of incident will not happen again."
"I deeply apologize once again," she concluded.
