On the July 3rd broadcast of tvN's 'eNEWS', a reporter stopped by MC Mong's residence and asked, "Can I ask you one question?", to which MC Mong continued to walk up the stairs responding, "I'm sorry." The reporter followed behind him and asked, "We're curious to how you've been doing." MC Mong replied, "I'm sorry. I'm doing well." 

When asked, "Can we know when you expect to make a return?", MC Mong shared, "I am currently spending time with my family." To the question, "Are you still recording music?", the rapper replied, "No. I am not doing any of it." By the time the reported asked, "When will you return?", MC Mong went inside his apartment and replied, "I'm sorry. I am doing well. You don't have to come all the way here. I will just spend my days quietly."

MC Mong's camp responded, "The rumor that he featured in a song is false. He is a person who is having a difficult time coming out into the public eye. He can't even go to restaurants. The more people talk about his return, the more he takes a step back."
