Lee Hyori revealed she once scared away SECRET's Sunhwa and made amends by apologizing to her hoobae. 

During the special veteran star episode of 'Thank You' that aired on May 31st, Lee Hyori revealed that she may come off as a scary sunbae sharing, "I think my hoobaes think I'm scary. Even though I don't try to act scary, I don't have such a friendly image so I think that's why I come across like that."

"I met SECRET backstage in the dressing room yesterday. Sunhwa told me, "I really respect you and I want to be like you sunbaenim.' I jokingly replied, 'I think it would be a bit difficult.' Afterwards, I felt like I hurt a young kid's feeling so the next day I told her, 'Did your feelings get hurt because of it? It was a joke. But Sunhwa said that wasn't the case and shyly moved backwards."

Lee Hyori then apologized to Sunhwa through a video message sharing, "I am sorry, Sunhwa. It was meant to be a joke. You will become a great singer who will surpass me."
