IU politely asks her fans to refrain from buying her expensive presents

IU thanked all her fans for her birthday presents, but cautiously asked them to hold off on the more expensive variety.

Her birthday was back on the 16th, and she wrote, "I look around at a lot of my fansites, but I don't want to disturb their own characteristic freedom or honesty, so I wasn't going to post. But I got home and opened my presents, and I'm leaving a post because I was so surprised! Sigh. I was so surprised! 

You spent too much money. You all know I don't even know how to use expensive presents like this. It says it's a small present, but this is obviously the most expensive present I've ever received in my life. I'm so, so thankful, but please, you don't have to buy stuff like this for me. Really. I don't know how to use expensive presents like this. I feel bad just looking at it. I'm going to use it the best I can, but I feel so sad. Don't use your money. Everyone, save.
