Actress Lee Da Hae addressed the embarassment she experienced because of her dress mishap. On February 28th, Lee Da Hae wore a yellow one-shouldered dress to the '2nd Seoul Arts and Culture Awards'. Though the outfit looked flattering, the controversy stems from the white tissue-like material that was spotted through the slit of her dress. Netizens speculated over what the item could be, but it was revealed that the white material was nothing more than extra fabric used by Lee Da Hee's stylist to better conform the dress to her body. The dress that Lee Da Hae wore to the event was too big for her, and so they tightened it in the back which caused the material to scrunch up. Consequently, extra material was added to prevent the unsightly scrunching, which was unfortunately dislodged as Lee Da Hae exited the vehicle. On March 1st, Lee Da Hae tweeted,

"Today I'm having a difficult time doing anything, I feel as if I have been stripped naked. Is this what it feels like to be bullied? It's as if I am standing in the middle of a schoolyard surrounded by people pointing fingers at me, making fun of me. [Makes me think that] I'd rather be kicked. What's the point of me explaining the thing shown between my dress slit and the events that led to it? When the pathetic and funny explanation and justification won't be shown... After all, articles have been written judging that it may be filthy tissue left behind from going to the bathroom. That way it'll be fun. From the person who may have thought that this would be a hit article and pointed out the part in the skirt with an arrow, to the other stranger who snickered and had fun believing I deserved this, I imagine their faces to be more wicked and scary than the devil. As an actress, I'm often thankful to become many people's gossip topic because it may be because of their interest in me, and is something that I must endure. But this event is difficult for me. It hurts to know that there are more people in the world who are more interested and busy focusing in on one person's flaws than those people who applaud other's great deeds. It's probably just another happening. It'll pass tomorrow. But, the damage done to my heart may take longer to disappear. I fear. Before I am a actress, I am a woman. And before I am a woman, I am a flawed human being. I even doubted whether I could really [continue] a good actress' lifestyle. But knowing that I have many fans who embrace me and help me stand although I am lacking, clumsy, and often fall, I will try giving strength again. In someways, this can be something that can be laughed off and I may be igniting the fire on my own through this post, I think that it is more humiliating for me to not be able to guard myself from undeserved things."
