Controversial film '26 Years' recently opened at first place at the box office and is expected to quickly garner over 1 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) on the 3rd, '26 Years' has currently raked in 906,162 viewers since its premiere on November 29th. The film continues to maintain its first place position.
'26 Years' tells the story of a group of individuals who set out to reek revenge against former South Korean president Chun Doo Hwan for the 1980 Gwangju Massacre 26 years after the event occurs.
Meanwhile, 'Wolf Boy', 'Breaking Dawn Pt. 2', 'I'm A Killer', and 'Tone Deaf Clinic' trailed behind in 2nd to 5th place, respectively.
