Some viewers expressed their annoyance at the lack of focus on Sangchu during the November 6th episode of 'Strong Heart'.

Although the show was labeled as a 'Goodbye Leeteuk' special, some viewers complained that if that was the case, Sangchu should not have been invited onto the show at all. In the beginning of the show, the two were introduced together and gained the same applause as both were heading to the military at the time of the recording. However, as the broadcast continued, Sangchu was pushed out more and more out of the camera spotlight.

The show itself focused solely on Leeteuk, with SM Entertainment guests. However, near the end of the show, Mighty Mouth's Shorry J finally came onto the show, and Sangchu couldn't help but smile. He said, "I was actually getting a bit sad because it was only Leeteuk's friends who kept coming out."

Many viewers shared Sangchu's opinion. Even a few Super Junior fans said, "Sangchu's seat was in the corner, and he had no special segment. Why did you even invite him? Even as just a viewer and not a fan, I felt uncomfortable watching him, and I wonder how Leeteuk oppa felt. I got upset when I heard what Sangchu said when Shorry J came out. If you were going to do this, you shouldn't have invited him." Other viewers agreed, saying, "Sangchu must have been so sad", "Why did you invite Sangchu if you were going to treat him like this?", and "It was so sad to see Sangchu's face when Shorry J came out".
