Lee Hyori will meet fans for the first time not as a singer or entertainer, but rather as an author.

According to online bookstore Interpark Books, a "meet the author" event will be held at Seoul Welcome Theater on June 18th to honor the publication of Lee Hyori's first essay book 'Closer.'

Lee Hyori will meet with 120 lucky Interpark readers at the event, where the iconic figure and all-star entertainer will share honest stories of her everyday life.

Fans may register for the "meet the author" event by writing their reasons for wanting to attend on the InterPark Books event site by June 14.

On the cover of 'Closer' is Lee Hyori with her adopted dog Soonshim. In the book, Lee Hyori discusses various animal rights issues as well as other personal topics. 'Closer' is expected to come out in stores May 24.
