Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was deemed unqualified to donate blood.

The members of Girls' Generation took part in a blood donation event for KBS 1TV's 'Love Request' back in September, and after IU revealed her true weight on 'Strong Heart', netizens have once again brought up the topic about Taeyeon being turned away as a donor.

Taeyeon met with a doctor to hold a consultation session, but the singer was told she would be unable to donate blood that day, as she weighs less than the required minimum weight of 45kg (99.2lbs).

Donors must be between 16 and 65 years of age, and men are required to weigh at least 50kg (110 lbs), while women must weigh at least 99.2lbs.

"She unintentionally proved to weigh less than the 45kg requirement," fans wrote after hearing the news, along with "I guess IU can't give blood either," and "I had no idea there were such requirements."

In related news, Taeyeon is currently promoting with Tiffany and Seohyun as 'TaeTiSeo', a subgroup of Girls' Generation.
