Hallyu continues to gather more and more popularity on the world stage, and it has just added to its list of accomplishments through popular group SHINee, who was recently featured on a famous French show.
On March 27th, French channel CANAL plus's 'Le Petit Journal' featured a news segment in which a clip of SHINee's "Sherlock" was played.
On this broadcast, host Yann Barthes introduced SHINee as a forerunner in the worldwide K-pop boom and played the music video for "Sherlock" with translated lyrics. He even talked about the fan favorite dance moves that SHINee showcases during the chorus.
"Sherlock" was introduced alongside LMFAO's "Live My Life" music video. Barthes even asked the guest star, a French presidential candidate named Jacques Cheminade, "Which of the two songs would you choose?"
'Le Petit Journal' is a popular French talk show that is broadcast every day of the week except Saturdays, and has in the past featured guests such as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and legendary rock group Metallica.
In related news, SHINee won #1 the March 29th broadcast of Mnet's M! Countdown with "Sherlock".
