While top idol groups are now concentrated in heading abroad for their overseas activities, rookie groups are now beginning to flourish in Korea.
Top idol groups, such as Big Bang, Super Junior, B2ST, and more, will be circulating around the globe for their world tours. While solo artists, such as IU and Kim Hyun Joong, will be greeting fans in Japan with the launch of their Japanese activities. Although fans in Korea will be unable to see their favorite artists, rookie idol groups are now emerging one by one and are proving that they are capable of taking over the previous generation.
One of the numerous rookie groups that have debuted in 2011 and stood out was five member boy group, B1A4. They were sucessfully able to capture the hearts of many noona fans with their past hits such as "Beautiful Target" and "My Love". Now, they have made a comeback on the 14th with their new title song "Baby I'm Sorry" and with this they've topped various online music charts.
Rising girl group C-real, who has been nicknamed as the "5 IU's" since their debut, have also returned with their brand new single, "JOMA JOMA". With their goal of stealing the hearts' of uncle fans, they have worked with hit making producers such as Shinsadong Tiger and Brave Brothers.
After successfully completing their debut showcase back in January, the boys of B.A.P have concluded promotions for their debut hit "Warrior" and shortly thereafter began follow-up promotions with "Secret Love". Their strong and intense performance has earned an enormous amount of applause from netizens for their high quality performances on stage.
Meanwhile, Cube Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment have also unveiled their highly anticipated boy groups. Cube Entertainment's BtoB, short for Born to Beat, has landed MC roles on SBS MTV's 'The Show 2' immediately after their debut to showcase not only their vocal talent, but also their variety skills. On the other hand, Pledis's rookie group NU'EST have become the stars of their new reality program 'Making Of a Star NU'EST' and have been displaying their infinite amount of charms through the show. With both groups starting off on a great note, the two groups will definitely be worth keeping an eye on.
However, the debut of new groups don't stop there. SM Entertainment, home to Girls' Generation, Super Junior, f(x), and more, will finally be debuting their 12 member group, EXO, this coming April. Ever since the beginning of 2012, SM Entertainment has constantly been releasing teasers after teasers but now they will finally unveil the group to the public this Spring.
In addition, A Cube Entertainment's rookie singers A Pink and Huh Gak will also respectively be making their comebacks in the same month. As the two are known to have been hits last year, it'll be interesting to see what they have in store for us this time.
Finally, M.I.B, aka 'Most Incredible Busters', are also included in the list of those making a comeback in April. The hip-hop quartet joined the scene last fall with their debut single "G.D.M".
