Chris Golightly, known for his appearance on Mnet's 'Superstar K3', is facing several sexual harassment accusations from more than 10 fan cafe members.
The singer has denied the claims and stated that that he would be leaving Korea to take part in 'X-Factor', an audition program held in the States.
On January 30th, the singer wrote on his Facebook that he was "leaving for America today" and that the "lies really hurt [him]." However, on February 3rd, he posted another message stating that he had not left the country. He then called out his accusers, telling them to reveal the truth: "Show your faces. Did I really hurt you? You lying trash. I can't people believe such trash."
The controversy began on January 28th, when one fan wrote on an online community board that Chris had a sexual relationship with her. Supposedly, he later demanded that the affair be kept a secret.
Another fan wrote that Chris "used his fan cafe members to his own benefit," and that the singer had caused her "much mental distress."
"Why attack me? [Is it] because I'm a foreigner?" asked Chris, frustrated and embittered by the scandal. "I've been nice to everyone and this is how I'm treated."
The Korean media is reporting that the alleged victims are considering taking legal action against Chris, citing 'mental distress' as the cause of action.
