On the latest episode of SBS's 'K-Pop Star', the contestants had a chance to be drafted by one of the top three entertainment companies in Korea, SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment. As such, everyone put on their best show trying to impress the judges.
One group in particular, named 'SuPearls', stood out for their combination of perfect harmonization and confidence. Comprised of Lee Michelle, Lee Jung Mi, Park Ji Min, and Lee Seung Joo, these ladies rocked the stage with a cover of the hit track "Fame" from the musical of the same name.
"They need to be sent to the London Olympics," J.Y. Park praised. "They're national representatives."
"I really love you. I don't have anything to say," BoA continued. YG's Yang Hyun Suk also didn't skimp on the praise, saying, "What need is there for words? Everyone must be feeling the same thing. Today's new find is Lee Seung Joo - I nearly teared up looking at her. It was like finding a hidden pearl."
Unfortunately, to maintain fairness of the competition, the 4-member group was split up at the end of the episode, with J.Y. Park casting Park Ji Min, Lee Seung Joo, and Lee Jung Mi, while YG took Lee Michelle. BoA abstained from selection.
The contestants will now begin one-on-one training with their entertainment companies, visiting their headquarters and practicing with the company.
