MBLAQ is sweeping Japan with their Japanese releases. On October 21st, it was revealed that they had topped the biggest mobile site, 'Recochoku', with "Baby U" on their daily chart. The achievement is more meaningful in that MBLAQ shot ahead of some big names like Perfume, who came in second, and child star Ashida Mana, who came in third. AKB48 ranked fourth while T-ara placed fifth. "Baby U" was digitally released on the 20th, so the boys topped it in less than two days, showing that they have what it takes to join the new Hallyu wave. In addition, MBLAQ is also making waves across the globe, as they placed first for 68 days in a row on Bulgaria's music chart, Popcore, as well as German charts. The members of MBLAQ stated, "We're glad that we were able to achieve such positive results before even starting our promotions. Thank you to our Japanese fans, and we promise to come back with a better image next week." MBLAQ's second single, "Baby U", will be released on October 26th. MBLAQ also has a Korean comeback slated for the beginning of December. Source + Photos: Newsen via Nate
