'Gyebaek' actress and 'Running Man' star Song Ji Hyo was recently taken to the emergency room for an allergic reaction to an IV drip she was forced to take due to her gruelling schedule. Because she slept only four hours over the course of three days, the actress was persuaded to take the drip, although she knew about the allergy beforehand. "Although we knew she had allergies, she took the shot anyway since her energy was so spent. Her allergies surfaced immediately after that," explained a representative, expressing their shock on the severity of her allergy. "She was transferred to the emergency room straight away and was treated, and now she is taking some rest. Everyone was shocked, but fortunately she is recovering." Song Ji Hyo recently came back from a 'Running Man' taping in China, which was bookended by long-running shoots for her historical drama, 'Gyebaek'. "Since she puts so much effort into both 'Gyebaek' and 'Running Man', it's only logical her energy will run low. We will monitor the situation and make a scheduling decision," a representative said.
