Singer Lee Seung Chul shared an embarrassing moment while he was the lead singer for the legendary rock band, Boohwal. On September 2nd, Lee Seung Chul revealed the story behind the infamous song, "Heeya" on Mnet's 'Superstar K3'. On this day, g.o.d's Kim Tae Woo commented hastily, "Do the contestants even practice?" showing his disappointment with the contestants. As a response, Lee Seung Chul said, "I was like that during my Boohwal years" explaining his incompetency during his rookies years as a singer. Lee Seung Chul then stated, "There was a guitarist who was the hyung of Boohwal leader Kim Tae Won. One day, he just stopped the practice and told me, 'If I were you, I wouldn't sing anymore', and embarrassed me in front of everyone." Then he added, "So I ended up leaving Boohwal." But it was Kim Tae Won who helped Lee Seung Chul continue his passion for singing. Lee Seung Chul said, "Tae Won hyung called me out to a restaurant and had readied spicy rice cake and some alcohol for me. Kim Tae Won said to me, 'I think you should sing again.'" As a result, the song "Heeya" came to be what it is today. Finally, when Lee Seung Chul was done with his story, he asked, "Was g.o.d like that in the beginning?". In response, Kim Tae Woo said, "Yeah, we were garbage. I was so surprised when I saw the 4 hyungs", playfully replying to Lee Seung Chul's question. Source & Photo: Newsen via Nate
