The photos have become a controversial issue, as netizens spotted offensive language on the sweater CL wore that day. Phrases such as 'f*** everything', 'take my tits', and 'cut here' written near the neckline could be read on CL's top. Many netizens were shocked by CL's choice to wear an outfit that included such language and left criticisms saying, "For an idol who has such a strong influence on teenagers, this is an inappropriate outfit," and "There's no way CL didn't know what the phrases meant, since she is fluent in English." However, other netizens came to CL's defense and argued, "It's just fashion, there's nothing wrong with having those phrases on a shirt", and some insisted, "This was not a public meeting, we cannot judge her for the outfits she chooses to wear during her own personal time."
