Popular female singer, and the current model for Samsung Galaxy S II, IU was the special guest performer during the half-time show for the Suwon Samsung Bluewings K-League football game against the visiting Chunnam Dragons on May 7th at the Suwon World Cup stadium. With the home team leading by a single goal at the break, IU came onto the field at half-time clad in blue wings to sing a few songs to keep the adrenaline going for the home fans. Unfortunately, the Bluewings conceded 2 goals in the second half and lost the game in the end.
