On May 13th, hit producer Brave Brothers guested on KBS's "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook", which held a special episode on producers. Through it, he revealed how he became the producer he is today. Brave Brothers began, "I got into music very late. Before I got into it, I didn't know a thing about music and was just living a rocky life. A DJ who used to work at the same place as me turned on a song by Cypress Hill one day, and I knew then that I could turn my life back around. I used to have no dreams and the only thing I knew how to do was use my fists. After listening to their music, however, I resolved to turn myself around within three days." He continued, "I went home, locked myself in, and just started listening to as much music as I could." When asked by MC Yoo Hee Yeol how he was able to make music when he knew nothing about it, Brave Brothers replied, "For three months, my brother and I never left the house. We were finally able to come up with one drum rhythm, but it was something my brother mastered and he ended up going to the army shortly after. My future felt so dark then." When prompted about how he managed to work without his brother, Brave Brothers revealed, "I worked on my own since then. For six months, I worked without rest and was finally able to finish one song." Brave Brothers has since worked with YG Entertainment, set up his own label (Brave Entertainment), created a slew of hits for idol groups, and finally produced his own groups, Electroboyz and Brave Girls. Yoo commented, "Your hit songs are usually sung by idols, so there's the impression that you'd be someone young and friendly-looking. Are there any who get intimidated by how you look?" Brave Brothers made the studio burst out with laughter when he replied, "They almost always bring someone with them. I'm never contacted first or directly. Instead, they'll ask a friend of a friend of a friend to get through to me. There's never anyone who just comes to see me." Brave Brothers also invited After School and SISTAR to join him on the special. Leader Kahi revealed, "He's like a father. If he wasn't here for us, we probably wouldn't exist."
