All three of the year-end ceremonies for KBS, MBC, and SBS. In celebration of the year's end, dedicated artists gathered together to rehearse and practice for their performances for a month in advance, resulting in an impressive and spectacular week-long festival for fans to enjoy. Daily News took the time to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each show, as follows: ? SBS: "Despite the impressive visuals, the show was a train of accidents." Part 1, 2 Rating - 16.3%, 14.5% SBS aired their "Gayo Daejun" the first out of the three on December 29th at the Ilsan KINTEX. The large-scale ceremony was held in front of a 3,000 member audience. The show itself featured a variety artists and performances for fans to enjoy, such as the use of wires and other special equipment for the maknae stage's "Circus" performance, the collaborations between Kim Gun Mo and 2NE1, and Kim Jong Seo and F.T Island. Intro videos also showed the time and dedication put into perfecting the visual aspect of the show. Unfortunately, the concert itself was plagued by noise from faulty mics and camera mishaps. Tiger JK and Supreme Team's collaboration was also cut off mid-way in order to give way for advertisements, which brought out criticisms from viewers. ? KBS: "Careless directing, and the harmonization of the old and the new." Part 1, 2 Rating - 14.5%, 13.8% Held at the KBS Hall on December 30th, KBS's "Music Festival" earned the criticisms of many for being a 'two-hour long Music Bank' and an 'idol special.' The concert itself was too large of a scale when it was only housing three to four teams, making it look empty and deserted. The sloppy lighting and backgrounds also made the hard-work of artists look shabby as well. Thankfully, the special performances that focused on the theme of harmony was worth a watch. Yang Hee Eun and Supreme Team meshed well despite the difference in their genres. The emperor of ballads, Shin Seung Hoon, CNBLUE, SISTAR, IU, Super Junior and others collaborated to perform "Your Reflection In My Smile," "Romeo & Juliet," "I Believe," and "Like the First Time." DJ DOC also performed "I'm This Kind of Person" along with "Run to You" with the members of Super Junior and After School. ? MBC: "Charming and cute composition, but lack of a clear concept." Part 1, 2 Rating - 10.1%, 9.3% The last of the three, MBC's "Gayo Daejun" was held on December 31st at MBC's Dream Center. It featured charming and cute composition in comparison to the former two, and earned high remarks for its level of perfection from the directing department. Performances were also well planned, such as the sexy diva competition between Narsha, Seo In Young, and Son Dambi, and miss A's stunning re-arrangement of their hit tracks. ZE:A and INFINITE's performances did well in hyping their comeback for 2011. CNBLUE and F.T Island's performance perfectly displayed their respect towards their seniors, and the division of Super Junior as DJs and girl groups into 90s hit tracks doubled the joy. Victoria and Nichkhun's couple dance, and BoA's ending performance were also well worth a watch. Unfortunately, the inability to differentiate between which groups were a part of the blue and white teams brought confusion to the overall concept of the show. MCs constantly asked for text votes throughout the show as well, despite the participation remaining low. Because of the lack of tension in the competition aspect between the two teams, the declaration of the final winning team was not as exciting as directors probably hoped. Source: Daily News via Nate
