Jang Ha Jin, an ex-reserve member for girl group SNSD, recently got accepted into KAIST, one of the top universities in Korea, and it's becoming a hot issue amongst netizens. Jang Ha Jin was a former trainee for entertainment company SM Entertainment, but later decided to end her dream as a celebrity to focus on her studies for college. She will appear on the EBS show 'The Royal Rules of Studying' this coming 3rd, where she will reveal her own methods of studying. The first time she thought about wanting to become a star was in 6th grade elementary, when her sister suggested that she audition, and then she ended up winning first place for the 'best looks' category. Soon after, she began her life as a trainee. At the time, she was determined to succeed at both being a star and a student. However, after failing to be accepted at a foreign language school, she decided to let go of the three years of her trainee life to just focus on her studies. That's not to say that she wasn't under duress though, as to shake the tag as a 'SM Entertainment Trainee' off her reputation, she had to study as hard as she could until she achieved a top quartile of her class ranking in her final year of high school, and she even displayed leadership as the class president.
