The Wonder Girls have been performing their smash hit Nobody since September 2008, and, although it's only starting to gain speed in many countries, many music listeners & Wonderfuls are itching for something new. With the girls' upcoming American album, hopes have been high for a fresh track from the pop quintet, but there's something lacking: a return to the Korean stage. It looks like the long wait will be soon over though, because it's according to DongA, the Wonder Girls will be cross-promoting their full-length album in both America and Korea this April! A JYPE rep revealed,
"The girls are currently working on their new album, which will including Nobody and four or five new songs. Furthermore, the girls are recording a separate Korean version of the album's title track for fans in Korea. Korea will be part of the promotions for this album. We are planning for the Girls to promote in Korea for a larger period of time than other countries."The Wonder Girls' first studio album is expected to connect major Asian countries with North America through promotions. The Girls were undeniably dominating the music scene before their departure for America, but since then, SNSD, 2NE1 and many other groups & idols have risen up the ranks; let's hope that everyone will welcome the Wonder Girls back to the Korean music scene!
